HOCKEY HIT OF THE WEEK — 4-2-12

Here’s a hit that results in a massive fight. The Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins were going at it, in what many believe to be a precursor to the opening round of the playoffs.
As soon as the hit takes place, several players drop the gloves. Keep an eye on the benches, as the two coaches nearly duke it out.
The ironic things about this event is that it started several minutes earlier when a Flyer player came up from behind and cross checked Crosby when he wasn’t looking. This massive check on Brierre was merely retaliation.
